Bloss Memorial Healthcare District supports the health and well-being of our community by providing sponsorships to local nonprofits, schools, healthcare providers and community groups. We prioritize initiatives that promote health, wellness and community engagement throughout our district boundaries of Atwater and Winton.

Sponsorship Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)
1. What types of activities or events are sponsored?
We typically support community-based events, programs, and initiatives that align with our mission to advance health and well-being. Examples include health fairs, youth programs, educational campaigns, physical activity initiatives, and cultural events.
2. Who is eligible to apply for sponsorship?
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, community groups, and government agencies operating within our service area. Sponsorships are generally not available to individuals or for-profit entities.
3. Can an organization receive both a Grant and a Sponsorship in the same year?
Generally, we do not award both a General Grant and a Sponsorship to the same organization within a single fiscal year, as both provide flexible funding. However, exceptions may be considered for unique initiatives or events that offer strong alignment with our priorities and meaningful community engagement.
4. What is the typical range of sponsorship funding available?
Sponsorships generally range from $250 to $2,000 depending on the scope and alignment with district priorities.
5. What criteria is used to evaluate sponsorship requests?
We consider the following:
• Alignment with our mission, strategic plan, and priorities
• Community reach and impact
• Opportunities for engagement
• Visibility and recognition for the District
• Location within our District boundaries
6. What is not eligible for sponsorship
We do not typically fund:
• Political campaigns or lobbying activities
• Fundraisers for individuals
• Religious events (unless broadly inclusive and community-serving)
• Activities outside our service area or without clear community benefit
7. Is Bloss Memorial Healthcare District recognition required?
Yes. Sponsorship recipients are expected to acknowledge Bloss Memorial Healthcare District in event materials, signage, websites, and/or social media.
8. Can we apply more than once a year?
Organizations may submit multiple requests; however, funding is limited. Repeat requests are evaluated based on prior outcomes and overall community need.
